Piper’s Scratch Pizza Shop is a “scratch kitchen” specializing in pizzas, salads, and subs, focusing on NY-style pizza. We are a family-oriented company with wonderful hours (currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) and are looking toward future growth opportunities.
Piper’s Scratch Pizza Shop is seeking part-time & full-time pizza makers/kitchen team members for our location in Palm Harbor. This position will directly report to the Owner and BOH/Kitchen Manager and assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in our professional kitchen. Job tasks include crafting/making pizzas, hand-pressing pizza dough, making subs, and preparing food.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow standard recipes and directions to prepare food; memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions.
- Adhere to special requests/special diet orders.
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours.
- Operate standard commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production processes/procedures/regulations.
- Cleaned and maintained kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
- Make dough weekly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cooking/culinary arts/related fields is preferred but not required; I will train on-site.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation/cooking techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Works well with others, team-player, and positive attitude.
- Good communication skills; communicate with managers and kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Follows direction, works and thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can multi-task.
- Work standing for long periods (up to 9 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
Pizza Counter Person
Ring up customers, take phone orders, prepare knots, salads and slices, coordinate with the kitchen, and have fun!
Piper’s Scratch Pizza Shop is looking for a positive, energetic, reliable Counter person to work part-time or full-time. We are a group of fun-loving and hardworking individuals passionate about everything pizza. Must be able to work weekends.
Job description and responsibilities:
The counter position consists of taking orders, reheating slices, preparing knots and salads, cutting pizza, making cannolis, answering the phone, taking orders, and greeting all customers. Other tasks include stocking supplies, coordinating with the pizza cook on order times, and providing general support for the pizza maker while maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness. As the first point of contact for customers, you MUST assist with a positive attitude. :)
General expectations:
- Always ensure optimal sanitation and safety standards in the work area.
- Monitor and maintain the clean working area.
- Maintain a kind and friendly demeanor with a smile.
- Work efficiently in small spaces.
- Analyze all customer food orders and ensure appropriate order accuracy.
- Count cash accurately and keep organized.
- Take phone orders.
- This position earns, on average, $12 per hour + Tips.
- Part-time and Full-time hours available.
